Julia was exactly what we needed throughout our pregnancy! She brought the right energy to us, and was essential in helping us make decisions. We never felt pressured to do anything, and appreciated having a more experienced sounding board to work through our options, both prior to and during labor. Even though labor and delivery didn’t go as I had hoped, having Julia there to support and explain everything helped both of us stay calm and grounded in the process. The resources she provides online, in person and through hand me downs helped us feel prepared each step of the way.

I’m dedicated to supporting families through pregnancy, childbirth and beyond, with warmth, compassion, and expertise. Inspired by witnessing my friend’s home birth many years ago, I combine a rich background in acting, dance, yoga, and prenatal fitness with certifications as a birth and postpartum doula, prenatal nutrition, birth education and lactation.

I live in Harlem with my husband. We have two grown daughters and a new grandchild! I bring authenticity, joyful humor, and a collaborative spirit to every birth experience, ensuring families feel empowered and cared for throughout their journey.
