Julia was an amazing asset throughout the entire process

from our first meeting, to the birth, to the follow up.

When I had been in labor for 18 hours with no epidural and it became apparent our birth plan had to be adjusted, she was both clear and comforting when translating the options, despite me being in a state of great emotional and physical distress.

The environment she helped to create when in labor felt spa-like (well, as much as it could anyway). She was informative, but not forceful. The nurses, doctors, and hospital staff all complimented us on her specifically, and how much of a strong advocate she was for my husband and I.

I would recommend her to anyone seeking doula services. She is a powerful force to have on your side in such a scary and exciting time.
